Happy Christmas! & New Term arrangements

This is to let you know about arrangements for the new fencing term. Our first session back after Christmas isn't until Thursday 14th January. The sports hall floor is being relaid and that is the first week that the hall will be available. Because of the length of the term and timing of Easter this year this means we will only have a ten week term this term; we'll adjust fees accordingly. Also, a bit of advance warning, for those of you already competing or starting to compete - the Southern Region Age Group championships (and qualifiers for the national championships) are on Sunday 31 January. Save the date! More details can be found at http://southernfencing.org.uk/?p=2884 But mostly, though, a very happy Christmas and New Year to all our fencers and their families! Have a wonderful holiday. We look forward to seeing you in the new year.

Please will club members and their parents/guardians make an effort to attend - it's your chance to have a say in how the club is run. All club members, including junior members, and also parents/ guardians of junior members, are encouraged to take part. There's one vote for each club member and where the member us under 18 the member and their parents/guardians can choose how to exercise it together. Overall, we hold the meeting in an informal, friendly and accessible way. We will be electing the club committee at the meeting. The more people who get involved in running the club, the easier it is for all of us. But at the same time no-one is pressured to do anything they don't want to. It's your club, so come along and help make it more like you want it to be. Hope to see you there!
